Musical Disclosure by Perform School of music Episode 54

Welcome back to the final appointment of the week dedicated to Duran Duran.

Welcome back to the final appointment of the week dedicated to Duran Duran.

In 2001, after fifteen years of separation, the five original members of Duran Duran decided to reunite. The band immediately immersed themselves in the creative process, renting a house in Saint-Tropez to work on new material with the help of Nile Rodgers. In 2004, the band returned to the spotlight with the album "Astronaut," produced by Don Gilmore and Dallas Austin. The single "Sunrise" reached the top spot on the Billboard U.S. Dance Chart, and the band followed with tours in Australia, New Zealand, and memorable performances such as the thirty-eighth Super Bowl. In 2007, they released the album "Red Carpet Massacre," produced by Nate Hills and Jimmy Douglass. Despite good reviews, sales were not significant. In 2010, they released "All You Need Is Now," which achieved great success and was praised as their best work since the 1980s. In 2015, the fourteenth album, "Paper Gods," was released, featuring artists such as John Frusciante, Kiesza, and Lindsay Lohan. In recent years, Duran Duran has released two albums, their fifteenth and sixteenth: "Future Past" (2021) and "Danse Macabre" (2023).

For the final listening recommendation of the week, we present "(Reach Up For The) Sunrise."
