Musical Disclosure by Perform School of music Episode 51

Let's conclude the week dedicated to Litfiba by discussing the Tuscan band's 2000s.

Let's conclude the week dedicated to Litfiba by discussing the Tuscan band's 2000s.

At the beginning of the millennium, only Ghigo remained from the original band, joined by Giovanni "Cabo" Cavallo. The album "Elettromacumba" in 2000, with over 150,000 copies sold, confirmed the success of the resurgence. The sound, more rock-oriented compared to the past, allowed Litfiba to reinvent themselves with "Insidia" in 2001, an album with dark tones and symbolic lyrics, and the eleventh studio album "Essere o sembrare," released under the independent label Edel Music.
In 2006, Ghigo disbanded the band, but the allure of music was strong. Already in 2007, with the unexpected return of the historic keyboardist Antonio Aiazzi, the band returned to the scene with a new singer, Filippo Margheri. The band experimented with new members, giving life to the music video "Effetti collaterali" in 2008 and the EP "Five on Line" in 2009, a year mainly characterized by the epic reunion with Piero Pelù. This led to the "Trilogy of States": a double live album, "Stato libero di Litfiba," in 2010, followed by two albums of unreleased songs, "Grande nazione" and "Eutòpia." The success of the tour confirmed Litfiba's return to the top of the Italian music scene. In the following years, new legacy editions of historic albums, such as "Spirito," retraced the band's journey until 2021, when, after a break, Pelù and Renzulli announced the farewell tour, "L'ultimo girone," which concluded in December 2022 with the band's final official concert.

For this last appointment with Litfiba, we propose "Effetti collaterali," enjoy listening!
