Musical Disclosure by Perform School of music Episode 90

Let's conclude the week dedicated to Uriah Heep.

Let's conclude the week dedicated to Uriah Heep.

In 2007, due to health issues, drummer Lee Kerslake left the group. In March of the same year, the band recruited Russell Gilbrook as their new drummer and immediately began recording a new studio album titled "Wake the Sleeper." An interesting fact is that two drum kits were used in the songs "Wake the Sleeper" and "War Child." Originally slated for release in the summer of 2007, "Wake the Sleeper" was finally released on June 2, 2008, by Universal Music. In October 2009, Uriah Heep released their 40th-anniversary album titled "Celebration - Forty Years of Rock," featuring new studio recordings of twelve of their most well-known tracks, along with two new songs. Uriah Heep released their 22nd studio album, "Into the Wild," on April 15, 2011, in Europe (May 3 in North America) via Frontiers Records. In May 2013, during the band's tour in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland, 1970s singer John Lawton rejoined Uriah Heep to temporarily replace Bernie Shaw, who was undergoing routine medical treatment. In March 2014, the group entered the studio to record their 23rd studio album, "Outsider," released in June of the same year. In September 2018, Uriah Heep released their 24th studio album, "Living the Dream," and embarked on a world tour to promote it. In July 2020, guitarist Mick Box and bassist Dave Rimmer confirmed that Uriah Heep would begin recording their 25th studio album in early 2021, which was released two years later: the album is titled "Chaos & Colour," preceded by the singles "Save Me Tonight" and "Hurricane."

Today's listening is the title track from "Into The Wild." Enjoy listening!
