Paolo Gambino, full professor PERFORM School of music®
Paolo Gambino is an eclectic pianist and keyboardist, and an expert connoisseur of electronic instruments.
Classically trained, he graduated in piano at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatoire in Turin, alongside the piano study of theory and composition at the Conservatory of Cuneo between 1994 and 1997, which guaranteed him a consistent activity, as well as as a pianist, both as composer and arranger.
His vast activity, live or in the recording studio, also embraces very different genres of music and is studded with numerous illustrious collaborations.
Among the most important collaborations it is worth mentioning the well-known band Disco Inferno (1997-2006), with whom he plays in over eight hundred lives; Eugenio Finardi (2007-2017), with whom he publishes a live DVD and four discs and, in 2013, the musical direction, as well as participation as a keyboard player; the collaboration, since 2010, with the Accademia Dello Spettacolo of Turin as arranger for several musicals, with which he also stages an educational version of the version of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, covering the role of musical director and keyboard player.
About the educational works, since 2014 it offers a series of seminars related to the analysis and discussion of the various facets and the many aspects that are part of the keyboardist's work. Recently, he released his first solo album B-Positive, a piano solo album of unreleased songs and also international song rearrangements, and is currently working on a new album. Since 2016 he has taught modern piano and keyboards at the Perform School of music, as well as curating the special Keyboards Setup Awareness course he himself created.
