Degree & Bachelor

After completing Level 3 of the international didactical framework (with the achievement of Grade 8), a student can continue his studies by progressing to Level 4. This level is also known as a Degree.

In this phase the student will decide the professional path that will want to pursue, opting for Music and Performing Arts or Instrumental/vocal Teaching.

The student who wants to enrol in Level 4 must have the following requirements: be 18 years old and have obtained Grade 8 (but there is also another possibility). Furthermore, for Italians, the student must have a high school diploma (maturity).

Once the degree has been obtained, the student can access Level 6. This level is also known as a Bachelor's degree.

Music and Performing Arts

The diplomas dedicated to Music and Performing Arts are dedicated to performing arts such as music, dance and theatre, originally performed exclusively live for an audience.

In this type of path, the deepening of the study of one's instrument or voice leads the student to face his own limits, putting himself to the test with the high level of awareness and knowledge required of a musician to be able to face the demands of the professional world.

Instrumental/Vocal teaching

Instrumental and vocal teaching diplomas are preferred by students who want to pursue a career in the teaching sector.

The training, in this case, includes theory and philosophy of education as well as aspects of educational administration.

The choice to attend these courses often allows the student to understand the big difference between being a good musician (performer or author) and a good teacher: two very different professions.

The main focus of these degrees is the teaching of music.
